Cellar No. 8 Cabernet Sauvignon California ($7.99)

Totally drinkable Cab for well under ten bucks.  This wine has nice rich berry fruit, if not slightly over-ripe, but goes down easy.  Assembled in Sonoma by Asti Winery, this is a great value, innocuous cab for every day drinking.

Welcome to my brand-spanking (in more ways than one) new blog, featuring wines for $10 or less. Full disclosure: Last night, I was inspired by a crappy bottle of $9.99 California Chardonnay. But my hope is to find and share some of the quality wines that can be had for a sawbuck or less. And there are plenty out there. Anyone know what percentage of U.S. wine sales is made up of wines $10 less?
